January 10, 2015

Welcome to worship in the name of God the Father, his beloved Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, who descended as a dove at Jesus' baptism. May we all sense God's touch today.

This Morning the message is Let it Shine.  After the Beatitudes, Jesus calls us the "salt of the earth" and "the light of the world".  This sermon will focus on how we can have a greater impact on others to insure that we are always bright and salty.

Next Week the message is Love for Our Enemies.  During his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus asks us to love and pray for our enemies.  Jesus is telling us our need to be able to forgive those that have harmed us.  This Sabbath, we will reflect on how our anger or bitterness, can create a distance in our relationship with God.

Weekly Bible Passage: We are concentrating on learning Bible passages in 2015. Each week you will get a Bible passage on a business card to review and learn. We provided a snap ring so you can keep your Bible texts together. Reviewing the passage one or two times a day for 7 days should commit it to memory. At the end of the year you will have learned 52 new verses.
If you didn't get a ring this week, be sure to get one this week. The cards for the second week are in the foyer.

Flower signups: You can signup to provide the worship flowers for next year in the foyer. Thanks for helping with the worship service!

Pancake Breakfast: January 17th we'll have a pancake breakfast. This breakfast is a time for fellowship and to help remind us about the importance of Sabbath School. Breakfast will be from 8:30 to 9:15am, so that we can all be to Sabbath School at 9:30am.

The message on January 24th is Where Are Your Treasures? This is a message on our giving to the Lord and how it reflects on where our treasures are.  The reality is that everything that we have comes from God, and I believe he gives us so we can learn the gift of generosity.

CREATION Health Series is underway on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Invite your friends to come and get a healthy start to the new year.

The flowers today are from Rick and Kelly for their 40th Anniversary!
