November 29, 2014

Welcome! Let us be greatly thankful for all of God's blessings. This is the house of the Lord, and we are joining in worship as his children.

This Morning's message is Happy is Healthy. For our Thanksgiving Sabbath, we have a message focused on gratitude.  Gratitude or thankfulness affects our spirituality, emotions and our physical body as well.  After all, the Bible says, "a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones" (Proverbs 17:22)

Next Week Elder Gerard Kiemeney will share the message, The Value of One. Dr. Kiemeney is the LA Metro Region Director of the Southern California Conference, and his message will be on the impact that one person can have when sent by God.

Pajama Drive:  Every child should have a good nights sleep. Part of that is having a warm set of pajamas and good night book. To that end we are donating NEW pajamas for children in our area.
Saturday, December 13th is the deadline to donate.  See the enclosed flyer for more details.

Welcome to worship and Christian fellowship. We are all one in Christ Jesus! Take a moment to greet the people sitting near you.

This Morning is Small Groups #6: Waiting Upon the Lord.  We will learn in our final sermon on our Book of James series that Christian maturity comes as we are able to be patient and even rejoice in our sufferings. James says, "as you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered" (James 5:11).

November 8, 2014

Good morning, one and all. May God be honored as we come before him in worship.

This Morning is Small Groups #5: Submit Yourself to God. Our culture certainly idolizes people with big celebrity personalities and their giant egos; however, God values a much different characteristic in all of us.  James writes, "humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up" (James 4:10).  This Sabbath will be a message of putting less emphasis on ourselves by putting God's will ahead of our own.

Next Week is Small Groups #6: Waiting Upon the Lord.  We will learn in our final sermon on our Book of James series that Christian maturity comes as we are able to be patient and even rejoice in our sufferings. James says, "as you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered" (James 5:11).
