“How good it is to sing praises to our God!” (Psalm 147:1, NRSV). Welcome to worship, as we join our voices in song to God our Father.

This Morning the San Gabriel Academy Chorale will lead the worship. This Sabbath will sure to be a spiritual blessing for all of us. This is a great week to invite your friends and relatives who around high school age. Come and worship in music with the Chorale.

Next Week our series will continue with Who Are We #5: Law. We will focus on our belief in the law of God.  The law gives us a clear understanding of God’s character and it shows us his expectations of us as his children. When following the law, we also see how deficient we are and how desperately we need God’s grace in our lives.

Pathfinder Yard Sale:  There will be a Yard Sale on Sunday, June 1st. This is the last fund raiser before the trip to Oshkosh.  Bring your treasures to sell tomorrow morning. Also come and browse to see if there is something you could give a new home to. Thank you!

Worthy Student Applications: It’s time to apply for Worthy Student for the 2014/2015 school year. If your child will be attending AUS or SGA and you need assistance, please get your application in before June 16th. See Bill for an application form.

We Need Graduates!   We would like to celebrate with all our graduates. If you know someone in the church family who is graduating from Kindergarten, Eighth Grade, High School, or College, please let us know so we can celebrate with them. We’ll honor our graduates on June 21st.

Adventurer Investiture:  On June 7th we will have the Adventurer Investiture as part of our worship service. Please plan to be present and show some love and support for our younger members and what they have accomplished this year.

On June 14th our series will continue with Who Are We #5: Law. We will focus on our belief in the law of God.  The law gives us a clear understanding of God’s character and it shows us his expectations of us as his children. When following the law, we also see how deficient we are and how desperately we need God’s grace in our lives.

Flowers today are from the Munguia family for their 31st wedding anniversary.

May 17, 2014

Welcome to worship and Christian fellowship in the name of Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Amen.

This Morning the message is Who Are We #3: Word. We believe that all things about God are understood through the Bible, and if we are applying the wisdom from it, we will live in a way that is congruent to God’s will for us.  After all the psalmist writes, ”Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalms 119:105)

Next Week the message is Who Are We #4: Humanity. It will expound on the belief that our origin came from God and how we were formed in His image.   This will also lead us to how sin has affected the nature of our existence and the relationship with the One that created us.

Pathfinder Yard Sale:  There will be a Yard Sale on Sunday, June 1st. This is the last fund raiser before the trip to Oshkosh.  You can start bringing your treasures to donate for the cause. We will be putting them in the room off the breeze way. Thank you!

Deacon Ordination: We will be ordaining some men and women who will be serving around the church. Please lift up all those who serve in your daily prayers. Thank you!

May 10, 2014

Welcome to worship! A special greeting today to moms, grandmas and mother-figures. The relationships that bless our lives are gifts of God’s love. Alleluia!

This Morning the message is Who Are We #2: Creation. It will be a reminder of where we come from. After all, the very first words of scripture writes, “in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  Believing that we weren't randomly placed here shapes the way we view ourselves and the way we see the world around us.

Next Week the message is Who Are We #3: Word. We believe that all things about God are understood through the Bible, and if we are applying the wisdom from it, we will live in a way that is congruent to God’s will for us.  After all the psalmist writes, ”Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalms 119:105)

Happy Mother’s Day: We hope you were able to join us for your special breakfast this morning. Even if you could not make it to breakfast, we would like to wish all the Moms a very special Mother’s Day. In fact all of our ladies deserve a special thanks for all they do for us, the church and God. Thank you!

Victorian Tea Party Success! Hopefully you were able to attend the wildly successful Victorian Tea Party last week. They raised nearly $900! Plus there is still some more money expected. Thank you for your amazing support!  Be sure to check out the pictures on Facebook or Flickr.

We Need Graduates!  We would like to celebrate with all our graduates. If you know someone in the church family who is graduating from Kindergarten, Eighth Grade, High School, or College, please let us know so we can celebrate with them.
