April 25, 2015

Jesus welcomed everyone; that is our aim, too. Whether you're here for the first time or the thousandth, we count ourselves blessed by your presence.

This Morning the message is Living in Grace. In our second installment of our small group study, our message tells us that being alive in Christ comes by believing that our salvation cannot be earned by our own merits.  Paul wrote, "because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgression - it is by grace you have been saved" (Ephesians 2:4-5).

Next Week the message is Mystery of God. As we continue on our Alive in Christ small groups series, the message should remind us that God is always teaching us.  God was teaching Paul a mystery that the Gospel is also for the Gentiles in Ephesians 3, and in a world that wants to divide and separate people from each other, God reminds us that the Gospel is for everyone and as Christians we need to be inclusive to the people around us.

Movie Night: May 2nd. We will be showing the movie "God's Not Dead." This would be a wonderful opportunity to invite your "adopt a friend" that you have been praying for as well as other friends and family members.  Doors open at 6pm. We will have a time of worship at 6:30pm. Then there will be some snacks as we get ready for the movie.

San Gabriel Academy invites you to Alumni Weekend, held April 24-26. Join us for golf, concerts, reunions, worship and more. For further information, email Bonnie Iversen at advancement@sangabrielacademy.org.

May 9th the message is Living in Unity. Paul writes to the people of Ephesus to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:4).  We will spend this time talking about how the Holy Spirit can humble our hearts so unity can even be possible, and how important unity is to fulfill the purpose of the body of Christ.

Small Groups!  Our small group study is the Alive in Christ: 6 weeks with the Book of Ephesians. It's not too late to sign up for a group in the foyer.

A joyous and hearty welcome! We're especially happy to have guests present. Welcome to our Creator's house of worship.

This Morning the message is Christ Redemption. We start our small group series with the first chapter of Ephesians which focuses on Christ's forgiveness of our sins.  Paul writes, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace" (Ephesians 1:7).  During this time, we will realize that being alive in Christ begins with praising God for what Jesus had done for us.
