Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

We're glad you've joined us to worship God. Sing, pray and enjoy the Word of God when it is read and preached. Then go forth under the Holy Spirit's leadership.

This Morning the message is God is Good. For this Thanksgiving weekend, we will have a message that reminds us of all the amazing things that God does for us. The Psalmist says, "with my mouth I will give great thanks to the Lord; I will praise him in the midst of the throng" (Psalm 109:30; ESV). It is so important to uplift God in praise and also uplift each other with encouragement.

Next Week the message is The Light of the World. In the Gospels, Jesus said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" John 8:12.  In the Christmas story, the wisemen from the East followed the light of a star which lead them to Jesus. The sermon for this Sabbath will be a reminder to always follow the light that Jesus is continually giving us.

Pajama Drive. Remember to bring some new PJs for children and teens in our area. Please bring new, complete sets by December 12th. Thank you!

Christmas Service, Dec.19th, 10:50am. Join us in celebrating Christmas. The service will feature music, drama and a special message. All are welcome!

Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

Welcome to Downey Church as we worship, learn and serve together. An especially warm greeting to our guests.

This Morning the message is Rewards of Financial Faithfulness. We conclude our Faith and Finance sermon series with a call for patience. Jesus told John, "look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done" (Revelation 22:12). When we live less for the immediate satisfaction that comes from squandering and temptation, we are able to make choices that have eternal value.

Next Week is Celebration Sabbath. After every small group series, we spend a Sabbath highlighting the experiences from each of our small groups. The groups will share what they learned from the past six weeks, and we will conclude the series with a celebration fellowship dinner that brings us all together.

Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

Welcome to worship and fellowship in the body of Christ. Peace be with all who gather here.

This Morning the message is Saving and Investing. Wisdom from the Bible says, "precious treasure and oil are in a wise man's dwelling, but a foolish man devours it" (Proverbs 21:20; ESV). God has given us the resources to fulfill His purpose for our life, and a wise man will be intelligent with their money on how they spend or save it. When we do follow God's principles on finances, we are able to live with a greater sense of freedom and the way God intended us to live.

Next Week the message is Rewards of Financial Faithfulness. We conclude our Faith and Finance sermon series with a call for patience. Jesus told John, "look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done" (Revelation 22:12). Kitchen Utensils: If you have borrowed something from the kitchen (pots, pans, knives, etc.), please return them. We seem to have quite a few things missing. Thank you.

Thanksgiving Luncheon: Join us on Celebration Sabbath (Nov. 21) for a Thanksgiving Luncheon. Sign up to bring some food to share in the foyer.
