Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!
Welcome to our last worship service of 2015. God is Lord of all time and eternity, so we walk with him -- and one another -- into all that the new year brings.
This Morning the message is The Day After. While we are very much still in the Christmas season, Christmas Day has come and gone, so now what? We will learn the principles that come from following Joseph's journey. We obviously know that the birth of Jesus is just the beginning, and there was still so much more for Joseph as life goes on.
Next Week the message is How Much Do You Need? Bill Aumack will share a message about having access to God's power. Is that a constant? Or does it vary? Duet. 33:25 says "as thy days, so shall thy strength be." What does that mean for us?
Be sure to take a picture for the Church Directory! This is the last week.
Thank you to everyone who brought cookies and helped with our Community Christmas Worship last week. It was a wonderful service. Praise the Lord.
Sign up for Flowers! Be sure to sign to help provide flowers next year for the worship service. Sign ups are in the foyer.
The message on January 9th the message is Changing It Up #1. The Bible calls for us to be a new creation as Paul wrote, "if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"(II Corinthians 5:17). As the New Year has come, we are reminded of changes that we need to make. In reality, it is only when Christ is in our lives that real change can ever occur.
