February 7, 2015

Christ's light shines in our darkness; God's love conquers hate; Spirit-given faith is stronger than fear. So we gather to praise the all-powerful Lord of Life. Welcome!

This Morning the message is You are Never Alone.  On this Sabbath, Bill Aumack will kickoff the series on Friendship. Many people are lonely, even when surrounded by others. But God never leaves us alone, He is always with us. We will look at the story of Joseph to see what lessons can be learned.

Next Week the message is Will You Be Mine?  This Sabbath happens to be on Valentine's Day, and the message is about God's invitation.  Jesus said, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me" (Revelation 3:20).  God is always knocking on the door of our hearts, and it is up to us to let him in.

Weekly Bible Passage: We are concentrating on learning Bible passages in 2015. Each week you will get a Bible passage on a business card to review and learn. Check out the graphic version of the memory verses on Facebook or in our app.

Fellowship Luncheon: Feb. 21 we will have a luncheon after church. The theme is Italian food. Yummy! Please sign up in foyer to bring a dish to share.

Pathfinder Convocation is today at the White Memorial Church. We are thankful they have this opportunity to worship with other Pathfinders.

Flower signups: You can signup to provide the worship flowers for next year in the foyer. Thanks for helping with the worship service!

Saturday Bible Study: Saturday afternoons at 4 pm there is a Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall. This study covers the basics of Christianity and Seventh-day Adventism. If you are interested, or know of someone who may be interested, invite them to join us.

The message on February 21 is Let's Be Friends.  This sermon will focus on the importance for friendship. The Bible says, "Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty" (Job 6:14). As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are bound together and we need each other.
