February 21, 2015

"To all God's beloved ... called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 1:7, NRSV). Amen.

This Morning the message is Let's Be Friends.  This sermon will focus on the importance for friendship. The Bible says, "Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty" (Job 6:14). As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are bound together and we need each other.

Next Week the message is The World in Need.  Our final sermon of the series will remind us of our commission to be a friend to the world. Paul writes, "I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ" (Philemon 1:6).  Sharing our faith could not only change the life of the receiver but also the one who is sharing.

The annual production of Reflections at the Cross, hosted by San Gabriel Academy, will be presented on the evening of Friday, March 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the White Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church. This special event includes powerful music and dramatic presentations. This production takes a look at the lives of twelve people who watched Christ die and is based on Leslie Hardinge's book, "These Watched Him Die." Bring your family, friends, and neighbors.

Weekly Bible Passage: We are concentrating on learning Bible passages in 2015. Each week you will get a Bible passage on a business card to review and learn. Check out the graphic version of the memory verses on Facebook or in our mobile app.
