Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!
Welcome to Downey Church as we worship, learn and serve together. An especially warm greeting to our guests.
This Morning the message is Rewards of Financial Faithfulness. We conclude our Faith and Finance sermon series with a call for patience. Jesus told John, "look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done" (Revelation 22:12). When we live less for the immediate satisfaction that comes from squandering and temptation, we are able to make choices that have eternal value.
Next Week is Celebration Sabbath. After every small group series, we spend a Sabbath highlighting the experiences from each of our small groups. The groups will share what they learned from the past six weeks, and we will conclude the series with a celebration fellowship dinner that brings us all together.
Celebration Sabbath is Nov. 21st. Our small groups will be sharing their experiences. Also, we will be sharing a Thanksgiving Luncheon together. So please sign up to bring some food and join us!
The annual production of The Journey to Bethlehem, hosted by San Gabriel Academy, will be presented on the evenings of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 4-6, from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. This interactive journey and musical concert is free to the public. The message for November 21st is God is Good. For this Thanksgiving weekend, we will have a message that reminds us of all the amazing things that God does for us. The Psalmist says, "with my mouth I will give great thanks to the Lord; I will praise him in the midst of the throng" (Psalm 109:30; ESV). It is so important to uplift God in praise and also uplift each other with encouragement.

Johnny Macias: He is recovering from surgery on his leg. Please pray the infection will be healed.
Sara & Sam Rivas: Their father has been given a few months to live due to cancer. Please remember the family in prayer.
Ava Meade: She requests prayer for healing from cancer.
Yolanda Ortegon: She requests prayer for healing and help with balance.
