December 27, 2014

Merry Christmas! Yes -- the Christmas season continues, and we welcome you to worship at this festive time of year. God bless us as we join in praise and contemplation.

This Morning the message is The Shepherd's Reaction. This sermon focuses on the shepherds after they witnessed the birth of Christ. According to Luke, "the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told" (Luke 2:20).  This sermon gives us a perspective of life after Christmas.

Next Week the message is The Opposite is True. We will be starting a new year with a sermon series surrounding Jesus' Sermon on the Mount.  We begin with the Beatitudes to show that the Christian life is very different than our culture's view on how to live.

In January, Pastor Cary will be presenting a sermon series about the best sermon ever given, Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Invite your friends to hear this four part series.

Flower signups: You can signup to provide the worship flowers for next year in the foyer. Thanks for helping with the worship service!

Agape Feast: Join us for a special Communion Service on Friday, Jan. 2nd at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall.

CREATION Health Series is starting in January on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Invite your friends to come and get a healthy start to the new year. See the enclosed flyer for more info.

Pancake Breakfast: January 17th we'll have a pancake breakfast. This breakfast is a time for fellowship and to help remind us about the importance of Sabbath School. Breakfast will be from 8:30 to 9:15am, so that we can all be to Sabbath School at 9:30am.

The message on January 10th is Let it Shine.  After the Beatitudes, Jesus calls us the "salt of the earth" and "the light of the world".  This sermon will focus on how we can have a greater impact on others to insure that we are always bright and salty.
