Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

We extend our welcome and Christ's love to all who gather for worship today. We're glad you're here!

This Morning the message is Know Love, Know God.This message answers the question why nothing is greater than love as I John 3:7 says "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." The core of God's character is love and as we seek to understand God, we will ultimately understand the deepest meanings of love.

Next Week the message is Undeserving.  One of the harshest realities in life is to come to grips with our sinful nature. During those times, we realize how little we deserve the mercy and love that God gives us, but Paul writes, "Christ died for the ungodly" (Romans 5:6) This message will reveal God's love for us even when we have done nothing that makes us worthy for it.

Downey's Got Talent! Join us on Feb. 27th at 5:30pm for a dinner and talent show. This is a fund raiser for the church, so you'll need to purchase a ticket. See Maggie or Evelyn for tickets. If you have a talent to share, let us know! We are looking for all kinds of talent, music, sleight of hand, comedy, juggling, whatever. If you have a talent, we'd like to see it.

It's not too late to sign up for a small group. Please sign up for a group in the foyer. There are quite a few groups to choose from. Thanks!

February 27th the message is With All Your Heart. Jesus was once asked what were the most important commandments, and he said to love God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself.  This Sabbath, we will attempt to figure out how to make that even possible.

Sara & Sam Rivas: They thank you for your prayers. Their father has been recovering slowly. He had gained a lot of his strength back. He has started to work at church again. Praise God!
Sergio Garcia: He is recovering from another back surgery. Please pray for healing.
Isaac Jondiko: Tom J.'s father is ill in Kenya. Remember them in prayer.
Johnny Macias: Please pray the infection will be healed.
Ava Meade: She requests prayer for healing from cancer.
Yolanda Ortegon: She requests prayer for healing and help with balance.
