Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

Welcome, one and all! Faith, hope and love are gifts of God. May you find them here.

This Morning the message is The Owner's Manual.  God has given us instruction to live a better and healthier life.  As we prepare for our Taste of Health Cooking and Health Seminar, we are going to have a message that remind us about the spiritual values of healthy living.

Next Week we start the Agape small group series. The first message is Nothing is Greater. We will follow 1 Corinthians 13. The theme of the chapter is that without love everything that we do for God is meaningless.

Sunday, January 31st from 4 to 6 P.M. we will host the Taste of Health Cooking and Health Seminar in the fellowship hall. There will be a hands on cooking demonstration and a health seminar on the benefits of vegetarianism. Dinner is also included. There is a $6 fee for the event.
Invite a few friends and join us for this informative and fun event.

Our small group series Agape starts on Feb 6th. Please sign up for a group in the foyer. If you want to host a group, let us know. Thanks!

Sign up for Flowers! Be sure to sign to help provide flowers next year for the worship service. Sign ups are in the foyer.

February 13th the message is Know God, Know Love. This message answers the question why nothing is greater than love as I John 3:7 says "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."  The core of God's character is love and as we seek to understand God, we will ultimately understand the deepest meanings of love.

Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

God invites us to come before him in worship -- and so we do this day. Let us focus solely on him for this brief time, to hear his Word and glorify our Savior, Jesus Christ.

This Morning the message is Changing It Up #1. The Bible calls for us to be a new creation as Paul wrote, "if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"(II Corinthians 5:17).  As the New Year has come, we are reminded of changes that we need to make. In reality, it is only when Christ is in our lives that real change can ever occur.

Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

Welcome to our last worship service of 2015. God is Lord of all time and eternity, so we walk with him -- and one another -- into all that the new year brings.

This Morning the message is The Day After. While we are very much still in the Christmas season, Christmas Day has come and gone, so now what?  We will learn the principles that come from following Joseph's journey. We obviously know that the birth of Jesus is just the beginning, and there was still so much more for Joseph as life goes on.

Be sure to take a picture for the Church Directory! This is the last week.

Thank you to everyone who brought cookies and helped with our Community Christmas Worship last week. It was a wonderful service. Praise the Lord.
