We gather in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please greet those worshiping around you with words and gestures of welcome.

This Morning Bill Aumack will bring us the message, The Double Dip Life.  The Bible says you can't serve two masters, but sometimes we are unaware that is exactly what we are attempting to do. We'll discuss the importance of keeping God number 1.

Next Week the message is A Rejoicing Father.  On Father's Day weekend, the message will bring out how to truly honor our fathers.  Proverbs writes, "The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him" (Proverbs 23:24).  The greatest gift to our fathers is to live our lives well.

Welcome to Downey Adventist Church as we gather for worship and Christian fellowship this morning.

This Morning the message is Plans to Prosper. On this Sabbath,  we will recognize the graduates of our church.  Our message will follow the text that says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).   Isn't comforting to know that God is always with us, and always has a plan for us?

Welcome to worship on Memorial Day weekend. Today we remember those who've given their lives for our earthly freedom -- and worship the One who died and rose to ensure our eternal freedom.

This Morning the message is Armor of God. In the final sermon in our Alive in Christ series, we are reminded that we live in a spiritual warfare, and we desperately need God's protection.   We are urged by Paul to seek God's protection daily as he writes in Ephesians 6:13, "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground."

Next Week is Celebration Sabbath. This special Sabbath celebrates the completion of our Alive in Christ small group series. At this time, each group shares their God stories that came from their six weeks of studying the book of Ephesians.

Graduates! June 6 we will take a moment to honor our Graduates. Join us in celebrating with them. There will also be a Mexican Luncheon after the service that everyone is welcome to stay for.

In Ephesians 5:2, Paul calls us to walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.   Do you walk with love for people, or is it a struggle?  Hopefully, we can see through this study how to understand God's immense love for us, and that love propels us to treat others as God has treated us.

Welcome to the Downey Adventist Church!

This Mother's Day weekend we thank God for the special women in our lives while remembering Jesus' declaration: "Anyone who does God's will is my brother and sister and mother" (Mark 3:35, NLT). As Jesus' own family, let us worship God together now.

This Morning the message is Living in Unity. Paul writes to the people of Ephesus to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:4).  We will spend this time talking about how the Holy Spirit can humble our hearts so unity can even be possible, and how important unity is to fulfill the purpose of the body of Christ.

Next Week the message is Walking in Love. Welcome.  Wherever two or three people gather in Christ's name, he is present (Matthew 18:20). We dedicate our time together to his glory.

This Morning the message is Mystery of God. As we continue on our Alive in Christ small groups series, the message should remind us that God is always teaching us.  God was teaching Paul a mystery that the Gospel is also for the Gentiles in Ephesians 3, and in a world that wants to divide and separate people from each other, God reminds us that the Gospel is for everyone and as Christians we need to be inclusive to the people around us.

Next Week the message is Living in Unity. Paul writes to the people of Ephesus to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:4).  We will spend this time talking about how the Holy Spirit can humble our hearts so unity can even be possible, and how important unity is to fulfill the purpose of the body of Christ.

Jesus welcomed everyone; that is our aim, too. Whether you're here for the first time or the thousandth, we count ourselves blessed by your presence.

This Morning the message is Living in Grace. In our second installment of our small group study, our message tells us that being alive in Christ comes by believing that our salvation cannot be earned by our own merits.  Paul wrote, "because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgression - it is by grace you have been saved" (Ephesians 2:4-5).

Next Week the message is Mystery of God.
